se face aproape 1 luna de cand nu am mai fost la un party reushit. in ultimul timp am avut parte numai de petreceri de minimalisti [asta multumita unei persoane foarte dragi mie]. am avut bafta sa ajung si la Booka Shade unde am ramas cu buza umflata si complet deziluzionata si dupa, afterhours in marele club *coughts* e plin de praf prin jur si sunt alergica *coughts* MARTIN la Ozgur whateva' his name was.A fost o noapte lunga si nu vreau sa imi amintesc nimic.

Am ratat noaptea alba,unde s-a strans crema bucureshtiului sus la poporului sa bage muzica DAR sunt mandra ca in sfarshit l-am prins pe nenea Minus [care mie personal imi place la nebunie].Well, this guy si cu Ion s-au adunat frumushel in cool cat si tot ce am de zis este: perfect.
Lume putina, numa bine sa stai chill pe perna ta, muzica aia de nintendo game boy dupa care mor, una bucata barbat si una bucata prietena buna++ un sprite si tigari mi-au facut seara minune.
Nu il mai vazusem ever ,asa live. o fatza cunoscuta [cel mai sigur de pe motoare,as allways] si muzica dragutza.E mai tare live decat ce am gasit eu pe net ,so.. recomand si zic ca merita incercat.

am ramas profund impresionata de tipul ala.Este un geniu care daca ar baga non-stop eu tot nu m-as opri din dansat.
De cand a inceput,m-am lipit de scena si am tinuto intrun dans nebun de 1 h jumatate cand el s-a oprit si lumea urla si urla si nu se mai oprea si tipete "biss biss one more, one more!"

si a bagat nene... de la piesele lui pana la cele mai dubioase mixuri ale unor melodii celebre si arhi cunoscute.
La plecare ,in hol, eram 3 persoane..noi si el... ne-a salutat si ne-a facut cu mana.Tipul era cu bun simt si foarte sociabil.Well, chestia asta ma marcat.Nu prea vezi genul asta de oameni, si mai ales la noi.
Tot in aceeasi seara asteptam cu nerabdare prestatia marelui Jean Jacques Perrey.Dupa o lunga asteptare, a aparut si el pe scena impreuna cu David Chazam.Pentru vremea aceea ,acum 50 de ani, eu zic ca tipul era mult prea tare.Sunetele retro electro ma faceau sa ma gandesc la un circ sau o prestatie cu si despre jonglerii.
In orice caz, suntem in RO..proiectiile s-au lasat asteptate mult si bine...DACA am vazut la 2 artisti ceva..si binenteles marele JJ Perrey a venit cu instrumentul lui de acum 50 de ani, clapele lui absolut fantastice care m-au lasat cu gura cascata...well s-au stricat in plin spectacol multumita personalului angajat cu sonorizarea.Inca o data ma mandresc ca sunt roman.Dupa acest incident, deja ma enervasem si am plecat.totul pana la un anumit punct.

Dupa muult timp..aud niste drujbe..drujbe nesimtite...in sinea mea ma gandeam ca sunt tot aia din deschidere : " ce nashpa pot sa fie astia ..they so suck".. la nici 1 minut...cei de la silent bass erau langa mine...daca ei erau langa mine..atunci cine baga in halul ala?!?!?!?!? mda...dezamagire profunda...era el... my ex-hero...Amon tobin.. mi-a lasat un gust amar.. nici Silvia nu putea sa bage drujbe in halul ala..ce mi-au auzit urechile nu-mi vine a crede nici acum..faza care a pus capac..a fost jumatate din inceputul mixului arhicunoscut "the attack" de la Limewax.Mi-am irosit timpul si banii aiurea pe un concert nashpa intr-un loc la fel de nashpa si cu lume si mai nashpa.Mi-am bagat picioarele si am plecat pe la un 01:30 la un vin pt a salva noaptea care mai ramasese...ah..sa nu uitam...mai si ploua.

Aleluia, in sfarshit in Shire nu mai ploo, au adus baetii de afara umbrelele si le-au deschis in mijlocul "terasei" miscare inteligenta...so... Blanoz sa zicem, Blanoz sa fie. imi propusesem sa ajung sa ii vad dar am crezut ca or sa bage mai tarziu...din pura coincidenta am ajuns fix la timp.Evident ca m-am lipit de scena si acolo am ramas pana la sfarshitul prestatiei, numa de bine la baetii astia..chiar stiu sa-si faca meseria.
In ultima noapte..o catamai scena fix in fata cazarii noastre "La John"... se anuntza nume mari..IRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIS ,rock frateeeeee si suie +++ trupa veche.
La suie m-am sinchisit sa ies pe ploaia aia torentiala si sa ma bag fix in fatza langa gardurile montate de jandarmerie, evident la un spatiu de 10 /15 m de scena.
"Woop woop a fost o data ca ca ca niciodata".. si cocalarii din spatele meu o cantau, dar in orice caz m-am distrat, am dansat cu umbrela nedesfacuta si am si uitat de ploaie cu ocazia asta.

Din cate am observat in ultimii 2 ani lumea muzicii a inceput sa se extinda si lumea a inceput sa vina si in RO.In ultimii ani nume mari au trecut pe aici si se tot anunta.
Numai in luna aprilie deja sunt doua dinte personalitatiile pe care eu le admir : Daedelus si Amon Tobin.
Totusi nu e capat de tara si se raspandesc zvonuri in stanga si in dreapta despre festivalul anual de la Stuff Vama Veche.Lumea zice ca pe scena si-ar face aparitia Tricky,Deus,Sigur Rós,Sex Pistols..totusi eu zic ca e prea frumos sa fie adevarat.Sunt prea multe nume mari care au facut istorie sa vina la noi..TOTI..adunati sub acelasi acoperis , mai ales..la STUFF... la un Bestfest mai ziceam ca erau comestibile speculatiile.Acolo este posibil orice dupa cele intamplate anul trecut.
But cred ca altceva mai bun de facut decat sa astept si sa vad cu ochii mei nu am de facut.Mie personal nu imi vine sa cred si tind sa raman la aceasta opinie.NU cred pana NU vad.

Ca tot a fost vorba mai devreme de Kid Loco si ce creat el, in playlist am dat de un mix absolut fantastic.Am avut mult timp obsesie cu el si il ascultam in fiecare zi [caaaaam vreo 5 luni - exagerat de mult pentru o persoana care se plictiseste repere si nu suporta monotonia]
Piesa de la baza mixului este "Tracy" a lu Mogwai.Mixul a fost promovat in filmele de snow si skate si a avut mare succes.

Tipul asta pur si simplu ma unge pe suflet.E perfect pentru o zi de chill cu geamul larg deschis si strand in pat la un ceai bun.Va recomand albumul din 1997 A Grand Love Story e preferatul meu si dupa parerea mea si cel mai tare facut de el.

Jean Yves Prieur, alias Kid Loco, (born June 16, 1964 in Antony, Hauts-de-Seine) is a French musician, DJ, remixer and producer. Some consider his style to be similar to Air, Saint Etienne, and Stereolab. His best-known album is A Grand Love Story, released in September 1997 and he has also compiled and mixed a DJ mix album for the Another Late Night series on Azuli Records.

Dupa cum scriam si intr-un blog de mai jos, a aparut noua compilatie Kitsune.Dupa cateva ascultari bune, am ajuns la concluzia ca si de aceasta data este una de succes care trebuie neaparat ascultata pentru ca nush ce pierdeti.

Din multimea de piese, care de care mai intrigante si mai atractive, in mod special mi-au captat atentia cei de la Fischerspooner, care deschid compilatia cu piesa "The best revenge".Am ascultat piesa lor si am tras si alte albume de la ei.Baietii zic numai de bine si pare ceva promitator.

Fischerspooner is an electroclash duo and performance troupe formed in 1998 in New York City. The name comes directly from the last names of the band members; Warren Fischer and Casey Spooner.

Spiking extremely retro electropop tendencies (recalling Kraftwerk, early Depeche Mode, and Gary Numan) with a modern approach to programming, Fischerspooner produces a quirky, robotic, and strangely subdued kind of dance music. Their albums can be seen as soundtracks to their stageshows, as opposed to recordings which are performed live.

IT's a French electronic music record label run by Pedro Winter. It was founded in 2002 as a division of Headbangers Entertainment. The label is home to French electro acts Justice, SebastiAn, Uffie, Krazy Baldhead, DJ Mehdi, Mr Oizo, Mr Flash, Vicarious Bliss, So Me, Feadz, DSL and Winter himself, under the alias Busy P. All of the Ed Banger Records video and album art is coordinated by So Me.^[1]

The label enjoyed a dramatic rise in fame in early 2007 when a number of the artists signed to its roster enjoyed mainstream success, most notably French electro group Justice, whose rework of "Never Be Alone" by now defunct Electro-rock band Simian (members of which would later become Simian Mobile Disco), entered the UK charts at #20. A treia editie a festivalului de muzica electronica si arte vizuale conexe - Rokolectiv are loc pe 11 si 12 aprilie in clubul Session si pe 13 aprilie la Muzeul National de Arta Contemporana. Tema din acest an a festivalului: Playground.

In 2008 Rokolectiv incearca sa creeze un "loc de joaca" pentru muzicieni si artisti vizuali, cu concerte, prezentari, screening-uri si instalatii. Invitandu-i in Playground timp de trei zile, Rokolectiv "forteaza" mana artistilor sa-si impinga limitele creativitatii, sa faca loc Improvizatiei, Mutatiei, Speculatiei si Interactiunii, sau, dimpotriva, sa-si urmeze cu strictete regulile si limitarile impuse de propriul joc. Editia 2008 a Rokolectiv anunta (re)intoarcerea Live-ului si continua, ca si pana acum, sa stimuleze amestecul de genuri/medii.

La loc de onoare in acest an va fi miscarea / label-ul Underground Resistance. Legendele Detroit techno vin in premiera in Romania cu un live Interstellar Fugitives sub "comanda" lui "Mad" Mike Banks. Rokolectiv 2008 prezinta si un showcase dedicat scenei norvegiene - scena care a avut o evolutie aparte in lumea muzicii electronice - cu "veteranul" space-disco Bjorn Torske, mutantii future jazz Mungolian Jet Set si Elektrofant, house band-ul cel mai apropiat de cercul polar.

Festivalul va culmina cu concertul extraordinar al lui Jean-Jacques Perrey, pionier al muzicii electronice, unul dintre cei mai samplati artisti in viata. La cei 79 de ani ai sai, impreuna cu David Chazam, Perrey promite o intoarcere la copilarie, alaturi de jucaria sa preferata, ondiolina.

BIO

Thieves Like Us met each other in Berlin in 2002.

We met in Mauer Park.

Two of us are from Sweden. One is from the United States.

We were friends hanging out in a vast foreign city. We struggled with the language and the culture. We we hadn’t registered our residencies at the local city hall so we couldn’t even get memberships at a videotek. We were fans of rock and pop music and would try to find places to go out drinking and dancing, but all we would hear is techno and electro. The women didn’t seem to like us at all. We started deejaying ourselves.

We would play old krautrock (nobody recognized it), italo disco, David Bowie, Iggy Pop, Factory Records stuff, and even new hip-hop. Later on we discovered French filter house and added this to our repertoire. Our cross over dj sets really seemed to bother the Berliners. Maybe it was the inconsistency in bpms.

In Berlin, we heard and saw enough electronic music we didn’t like. We thought we could do it better so we started our own band.

Unable to gain a label or following in Berlin, we have temporarily relocated to New York City.

Thieves Like Us will soon be seeking asylum in France.

VHS or Beta is a band from Louisville, Kentucky, that combines elements of rock, French house and dance-punk. Their self-released debut Le Funk found some success on the charts, but the band became better known in the wake of their 2004 release Night on Fire. In early 2007, after two and half years of touring, the band made the trek to remote Asheville, NC to record 2007's Bring on the Comets. Released in August of 2007 Bring On The Comets marked a slight change in direction towards a more straightforward pop sound; all this was achieved without sacrificing the band's trademark dance sensibility.
The band's core members are guitarist/vocalist Craig Pfunder, bassist Mark Palgy, and drummer Mark Guidry. Chea Beckley has supported the band on keyboard on tour since the late 90's. Mike McGill was enlisted to play guitar on tour after Zeke Buck left the band in 2006.
In 2005 the band opened for Duran Duran on a leg of their North American tour.

is a German electro duo, founded in 2004 in Hamburg, consisting of Jens "Jence" Moelle and İsmail "Isi" Tüfekçi. They are signed to French label Kitsuné Music, and have released four singles to date: "Idealistic", "Zdarlight", "Jupiter Room", and "Pogo". Jens likens Digitalism's songs to simple chapters in a complex novel about social interaction and attraction, with distorted baselines and thumping rhythms comprising the punctuation.
Digitalism has remixed tracks for Tom Vek, The Futureheads, Daft Punk, Tiga, Klaxons, White Stripes, Monk, Depeche Mode, Cut Copy and many others, including a re-edit of "Fire in Cairo" by The Cure (entitled "Digitalism in Cairo"). Their tracks and remixes are played by DJs such as Erol Alkan, Soulwax, Boys Noize and Justice, among others.
Digitalism is pioneering the electro-punk and indie dance movements, making appearances at festivals such as Coachella, and South by Southwest as well as various clubs worldwide.
They claim Daft Punk as influences . But most of all, old movie soundtracks seem to be one of their biggest influences. It's often said that they named Zdarlight after Philippe Zdar from Cassius. Zdarlight, however is not a homage to Philippe Zdar, only a less conventional spelling of the word "starlight". After the release of the single, Zdar claimed Digitalism had used his name withThe single Pogo is featured in the official soundtracks of Electronic Arts popular video games Need for Speed: ProStreet and FIFA 08. It was also featured as the soundtrack for a Canadian Virgin Mobile advertisement, both in French and English, during December 2007. The track Idealistic is used in the first trailer for Rockstar Games' title Midnight Club: Los Angeles.
